The Eagles are sticking with Cam Jurgens as their starting left guard.
That’s what coach Nick Sirianni said, at least, during his Monday news conference, one day after the Eagles’ 24-20 loss to the Rams — during which Jurgens struggled again.
“No, I’m pleased with where Cam is,” Sirianni said, when asked if he was considering benching Jurgens. “Obviously, we didn’t put out there the product that we want to put out there offensively yesterday. Combine that with a loss. There’s going to be plays he wants back, but there’s good moments also. I think that’s the consistency of everybody — from our coaches, to our players — has to be the thing that continues to rise. That’s Cam and that’s everybody, you know?
“Cam is definitely doing good things, and, like I saw, got to be more consistent at times as well.”
Jurgens, 27, moved from center to left guard when Landon Dickerson suffered a knee injury in the Eagles’ Week 1 over the Commanders. Drew Kendall — who has mostly played well — slotted in at center.

Of the 179 offensive linemen who played a snap in Week 4, Jurgens ranked last in Pro Football Focus’ blocking grades (28.3). Jurgens has the lowest PFF grade (38.7) among offensive linemen with at least 100 snaps played this season. He has allowed 10 quarterback hurries and 12 pressures through four weeks.
Sirianni’s vote of confidence could be a misdirection. If it is, expect Willie Lampkin — who played well in preseason and training camp — to take over for Jurgens.

Injury notes
The Eagles’ already-long injury list added a few more names on Sunday.
During the loss, notable players like running back Saquon Barkley (hamstring), edge rusher Jonathan Greenard (ankle), cornerback Quinyon Mitchell (knee), and running back Tank Bigsby (knee) all suffered injuries. Before the game, right tackle Lane Johnson was ruled out due to personal reasons.
An NFL Network report Monday said Bigsby was set for “core muscle surgery” and headed to injured reserve, which will keep him out of action for a minimum of four weeks.
As for the others, Sirianni doesn’t usually tip his hand when asked for injury updates, but he was asked about Barkley’s status on Monday.
“We’ll see,” Sirianni said of Barkley. “These guys are going through different things with treatment and all those different things. We’ll see how everything responds, and then have more answers for you probably Wednesday.
“I know he’ll do everything he can do to get himself back. Obviously, he’s a great player and a great teammate. We always need him on the field.”
On Johnson, Sirianni had “no update.”
As Sirianni’s news conference was wrapping up, NFL Network reported that Greenard’s injury was “not major” and he’s “considered day-to-day.” Greenard just returned from a pectoral injury that sidelined him during training camp last week.
The Eagles will release their first injury report of the week Wednesday evening. They face the Jaguars on Sunday in London.
