There’s a new flavor at Rita’s — but only for a month

Rita’s Italian Ice & Frozen Custard has added a new limited-edition flavor to its summer menu.

Mermaid Italian Ice is vibrant pink flavor that combines berry and marshmallow and comes topped with glitter.

The Bensalem-born water ice purveyor is offering the flavor at all 600 Rita’s locations nationwide until July 19.

Rita’s Italian ice is made daily on-site with a rotating selection of over 80 flavors. The menu also includes frozen custard, gelati, frozen coffee, Rita’s Blendinis, and milkshakes.

The new flavor comes three ways: as an Italian ice; a gelati (Mermaid Italian ice layered with vanilla frozen custard and topped with glitter); and as an ice blender (an icy berry-marshmallow blend shimmering with glitter.)
